It was just a matter of time before Spam would take to the street in food truck form.
For those that are not familiar with Spam as a food, let me explain!
Spam is a form of canned precooked meat, made popular during World War II. In the U.S., it is most popular in the state of Hawaii.
But, make no mistake; folks all over the world love this food.
In fact, 2007 saw its seven billionth can sold! Its name is believed to be a combination of “spiced ham,” but the origin is actually a well-kept secret.
“The Spamerican Tour” started this April in Los Angeles and will continue through July, finishing in Chicago at their well-known Taste of Chicago.
Other cities on the tour are Denver, San Antonio, Nashville and many more.
If you’ve never tasted Spam, now’s the time!
