Those walking Toronto’s sidewalks will be treated to more delicious treats this summer.
New laws have been passed that secured several changes.
Here are a few of them.
All food trucks must stay a minimum of 50 meters from a restaurant, 30 meters from a school and 25 meters from a sidewalk vendor.
Exceptions would be if the food trucks are located on private property or city parking lot.
The maximum number of permits will be 125, available over a 12-month period.
A local “councilor” will help decide any controversial issues.
Ice cream trucks, however, are free to roam all areas.
