Bad news for Palm Springs!
They have recently extended its moratorium on food trucks.
While the mayor supported the trucks, the 5 member board felt they needed more time to deal with legal matters and other concerns.
The ban has been extended for a full 12 months.
Generally, arguments against food trucks tend to deal with their proximity to “brick and mortar” restaurants or schools.
Available parking is also sometimes a concern.
Many cities are loosening their bans, allowing them in some parts of their cities and preventing them in other sections.
So, the next time you’re on vacation and see an interesting food truck, stop and treat yourself!
It may be the best part of your vacation.
