We came across an interesting Michigan project that is worth supporting. A group called The Torch is working on putting a food truck together to serve food to people that are in need for free!

We are currently in the process of having our food truck custom built from the inside out! Two outstanding Christian men, with over twenty years experience in the food truck business, are partnering with The Torch to build a one-of-a-kind food truck, for a one-of-a-kind non-profit. After the truck is fully built, we will be equipped to offer 100% free, hot, freshly prepared meals on the spot wherever they are needed.

The Torch is a 501(3)c organization helping people in radical, new and revolutionary ways – by offering 100% free services and utilizing a mobile food truck to bring free food, and hope, to people in need. We have already purchased a food truck, which is in the process of being custom built from the inside out, and now we need your support to complete the building process and get the truck tricked out with cooking equipment. In addition to offering 100% free food, we are also offering 100% free hair cuts by licensed cosmetologists, (but not in the food truck because that would just be gross!), 100% free tutoring by teachers and trained professionals, 100% free back to school back packs and a variety of other 100% free services. A featured program of The Torch, CT SCAN, is a vital component of our organization and will provide children and teens with leadership and service opportunities as well as comprehensive training. We see a bright and hope-filled future in which we use our past experiences, pain, education and compassion to not only feed hungry people, but to give them hope and show them what perseverance, passion and faith can do.
