It’s not unusual for food truck operators to make the jump from food truck to a brick and mortar restaurant.
But, Bill Deslippe, owner-operator of the Smashed Apple food truck, has taken a different approach.
After wanting to enter the food business at a time when a traditional restaurant was not feasible, Mr. Deslippe opened and found success with a food truck.
Operating a food truck allowed the Smashed Apple to travel and gain a well-deserved reputation.
Now, he offers consulting services to those with brick and mortar businesses.
Opened only 2 years, Mr. Deslippe is planning to buy a second food truck, and perhaps then open a brick and mortar restaurant.
