Chefs open food trucks for a variety of reasons.
One reason is to try out specialized menu items.
The Frites Street food truck expects to do just that!
This truck specializes in bringing Belgian-style fries to Phoenix.
Belgian fries can be characterized by being at least 1 cm thick, rectangular, and fried twice, most often in beef fat. What makes them so special is that they are cooked twice at different temperatures.
The owners wanted to open a one-of-a-kind of truck.
They decided on fries after observing folks love fries, even bad ones.
So they set their sights on Belgian fries. These unique fries are mixed with other fresh ingredients such as black beans, cheese curds, and carne asada.
Sounds delicious … right!
