Is Big Brother taking over the food truck industry?!
And no, we’re not talking about the TV show.
These cities, Boston, Chicago and Cranston (Rhode Island) have raised the bar in the “brick and mortar” versus food truck competition.
These cities now require all food trucks to attach GPS devices before they can begin vending.
The object is to monitor how close they get to “traditional” restaurants.
However, because GPS devices can be as much as 30 feet off (and the bans call for a distance of 200 feet), Chicago now finds itself embroiled in a lawsuit.
Food trucks embody the culture of the American Dream.
One food truck can grow into a national fleet.
So this week support your local South Florida Food Trucks by enjoying a gourmet meal from your favorite truck!
