Colorado’s Boulder Valley School District was one of the first school districts to implement a food truck program.
The program continues roll forward.
Their food truck looks like a cross between a milk truck and a rustic farmhouse.
It was funded by a $75,000 grant from Whole Foods Market.
Although the truck serves mostly the same foods as the cafeteria, students flock to the food truck.
That’s okay, because cafeteria participation is also on the rise.
Other schools across the country have been watching the success of this food truck closely.
More schools are joining the food truck movement every year.
Many rotate among school campuses.
They also provide meals at special events.
The food trucks profit also.
They are really a “driving billboard.”
