Kudos to Sacramento’s Reverse Food Truck!
This brand new food truck will be parked near a farmer’s market.
Instead of a menu listing food to buy, this truck lists how much a fresh food donation will buy.
For instance, $2 will feed fresh food to a person for a day; while $25 will provide a family of 4 fresh foods for a month.
Mr. and Mrs. Goore, own this truck, and are asking folks to buy extra food at the farmer’s market; and they will take the food to local food pantries that same day.
These folks note that the Sacramento folks suffer a fifteen thousand pound deficit of fresh food at the food banks.
