Mackinac Island is truly a jewel located in the Midwest.
For those not aware, the entire 8 square mile island, located on Lake Huron, is known as a National Historic Landmark.
Known for its culture and architecture, almost all motor vehicles are banned.
So what’s a food truck to do?
Set up shop on a main road to the island.
The Silver Pickle, named for the shape of its trailer serves a mixture of Midwest and Southern comfort foods.
Fried chicken, biscuits and gravy and smothered corn on the cob are just a few things on the menu.
Operated by a married couple who met at Le Cordon Bleu Chicago, these two not only serve delicious food, but strive to serve it within 3-5 minutes!
